We’re always happy to share the news of great things happening for our partners, especially when they’re having fun doing it. In case you missed it, Catholic Charities New Hampshire just had another successful Mardi Gras Gala.
The Gala is a New Orleans-themed night of great food, great music and great auction items, and is the major fundraiser for Catholic Charities. The 13th annual event was held February 10 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord and raised more than $136,000, much of which is earmarked for the agency’s Emergency Services Fund. The fund addresses unique local needs through emergency assistance for poor and vulnerable residents of all faiths throughout New Hampshire.
“The money we raised from the Mardi Gras Gala provides vital programs and services to help those in need overcome challenges, remove obstacles and transform their lives,” says Thomas E. Blonski, President CEO of Catholic Charities New Hampshire. “The generosity of our donors is humbling – and the impact of their contributions will be felt across every corner of the state.”
Catholic Charities is one of the state’s largest nonprofit service agencies, helping 1 in 13 people in New Hampshire move their lives forward through programs that include adoption and maternity services, counseling, healthcare services, immigration legal services and the New Hampshire Food Bank. They help people every day get through life with dignity and hope. It’s heartwarming to see 300 attendees not only coming together to support a great cause but having a blast at the same time.
